Phuket Sandbox Hotels: Patong Beach

Incoming international passengers who have been immunised against COVID-19 and wish to enter Thailand without quarantine must stay in hotels that have a SHA+ (SHA Plus) certificate. Here is a list of Phuket Sandbox hotels that include all of the hotels in Phuket that have been certified as SHA Plus.

What is the difference between SHA and SHA+?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the SHA, or Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration, is a project of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to control the Thai tourism industry for safety standards to match the new normal way and show tourists that hotels and other services are taking precautions to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

While the “SHA Plus” Certificate was recently introduced when discussing the reopening of the country, it signifies that the certified business not only meets the standard SHA certification criteria, but also that at least 70% of hotel or business staffs have been completely vaccinated against COVID-19.

How long should you stay at SHA Plus Hotels?

Tourists who have been fully vaccinated must stay 14 nights in Phuket before being allowed to travel elsewhere in the country. Booking SHA Plus hotels in Phuket for the entire duration of this period is required for entry into Thailand under the Phuket Sandbox programme.

Phuket SHA Plus Hotel Listing

There are currently around 450 SHA Plus hotels approved to provide lodging in Phuket under the Phuket Sandbox scheme. More hotels should be added to the list soon, as there are over 700 hotels in Phuket that have acquired SHA certification and already meet the health and safety criteria. The majority of these hotels are simply awaiting certification as SHA Plus hotels.

The following is a list of Phuket Sandbox hotels, including certified SHA Plus hotels, organised by location:

Wat Suwan Khiri Khet

Wat Suwan Khiri Khet history

However, there are many faith-based stories, such as the legend of the marvelous vision. includes Lord Vishnu’s revered image It serves as a place of worship for the inhabitants of the surrounding area. There are numerous culinary options available.

Another history: Wat Suwan Khiri Khet (Wat Karon), historically known as Karon Temple, has a long history. According to the name of the village, there were only about 24 people’s residences when it was created as a monastery. Because of the monk’s name Kaew, it began as a monastery in the year 1894. He came from Songkhla province and settled with a long-handled umbrella on the site where the temple is situated. People had developed confidence, therefore they convinced one another to construct a temporary location for monks to do merit and religious activities. He waited for quite long time before continuing his trek. As a result, the monastery had to go without a caretaker for a while.

Wat Suwan Khiri Khet

Later, a monk from Pattani Province went on a pilgrimage. Villagers have faith, so they have invited you to observe Buddhist Lent at this monastery and be adored by the people. He was the one who inspired the villagers’ imaginations to pursue careers in the arts. The first was at Na Phru (today there are traces near Ban Ta Chai Rattanakaew), where monks lived for nearly 15 years before dying. As a result, a monk was appointed as abbot Phra Sang, who lived in Buddhist Lent for 15 years before retiring. Later, the locals went to invite Sawat Chutipanya, a monk from Wat Sawang Arom. He built a long row of wooden cubicles with 7 bedrooms, 1 thereafter, to act on his behalf for 9 years before retiring during the period Phra Sawat was in control. Acting on his behalf for four years before leaving the sikkha, the villagers went to invite a monk from Chalong Temple, he was properly appointed as the abbot, and he has been doing the right routine since. He relocated the water church from the swamp to Nai Harn, a vast swamp.

And now that the title document as belonging to the temple has been registered, he lived for 12 years and died at Karon Temple. During that time, Phra Nui convinced the locals to construct an ordination hall in the temple. Later, a monk from Chonburi province arrived. Wat Sawang Arom is a good place to stay. The villagers invited him to spend the night at Karon Temple. He finished the building and was buried in Nimit in 1947. He then returned to his former residence in Chonburi.

Traveling to Wat Suwan Khiri Khet: There are numerous methods to travel to Wat Suwan Khiri Khet, including Patong Beach, Rawai Beach, Chalong Intersection, and taking a boat to Karon Beach.
