Phuket Sandbox Hotels: Patong Beach

phuket

Incoming international passengers who have been immunised against COVID-19 and wish to enter Thailand without quarantine must stay in hotels that have a SHA+ (SHA Plus) certificate. Here is a list of Phuket Sandbox hotels that include all of the hotels in Phuket that have been certified as SHA Plus.

What is the difference between SHA and SHA+?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the SHA, or Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration, is a project of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to control the Thai tourism industry for safety standards to match the new normal way and show tourists that hotels and other services are taking precautions to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

While the “SHA Plus” Certificate was recently introduced when discussing the reopening of the country, it signifies that the certified business not only meets the standard SHA certification criteria, but also that at least 70% of hotel or business staffs have been completely vaccinated against COVID-19.

How long should you stay at SHA Plus Hotels?

Tourists who have been fully vaccinated must stay 14 nights in Phuket before being allowed to travel elsewhere in the country. Booking SHA Plus hotels in Phuket for the entire duration of this period is required for entry into Thailand under the Phuket Sandbox programme.

Phuket SHA Plus Hotel Listing

There are currently around 450 SHA Plus hotels approved to provide lodging in Phuket under the Phuket Sandbox scheme. More hotels should be added to the list soon, as there are over 700 hotels in Phuket that have acquired SHA certification and already meet the health and safety criteria. The majority of these hotels are simply awaiting certification as SHA Plus hotels.

The following is a list of Phuket Sandbox hotels, including certified SHA Plus hotels, organised by location:
